Reducing Exclusions by Empowering Students to be ‘Best Self’

One of the biggest sources of stress for teachers in the classroom is challenging behaviour from students. 

This workshop will help you understand some of the causes of negative behaviour and identify strategies to help by using a coaching approach, as well as looking at techniques to improve student and staff well being.

This session will:

  • Define what coaching is and its place in schools
  • How coaching differs to mentoring or counselling
  • Explore the language of coaching
  • Demonstrate simple yet effective coaching techniques
  • Looks at successful case studies and how they could be applied in your school
  • Explore techniques to improve well being

Training led by: Karen Cruise—Cruise Coaching Consultancy
Karen is a qualified coach with over 10 years experience. She currently works in schools and  niversities using coaching techniques to empower students to take ownership of their behaviours and aspirations. Her work has resulted in improved attendance, confidence and focus of students. Karen  also works with senior leadership teams to help organisations develop into great organisations by adopting a coaching approach across their business.
